Author Dan King in cockpit of the world's only original flying Japanese Zero. This Type 52 Zero-sen was found on Saipan island in 1944, shortly after the battle. It was sent to the US and test flown by such aviation greats as Charles Lindbergh, Howard Hughes, and Greg "Pappy" Boyington. It is currently on display at the "Planes of Fame Air Museum" in Chino California.

My father was shot down over Korea and bailed out of his B-29, as a kid I always wanted to try this. He thought I was crazy when I told him what I did.
